Kent State won 2-1 against the Ohio Bobcats, in the regular game season, and will play against the Bobcats again this Sunday. "This team is like a family to me, I wouldn't want to play for anyone else" said Shedenhelm.

Two hundred and thirty seven people attended the Kent State women's soccer game Oct. 26, 2017 the final score ending at 2-1. Kent faces the Bobcats again on Sunday to determine who will play in the MAC tournament semifinals. "I am so proud to be a part of this team. I just know if we play like today we will win the next game" said Holmes.

Maddie Holmes head-butts the ball, scoring the 2nd goal of the night Oct. 26, 2017 at the regular season game against the Ohio Bobcats. "I just thought about nothing but getting that ball in the net" said Holmes. The team celebrates, they realize that they were going to win and head to the semifinals this coming Sunday.

Lindsay Pizzurro, fashion design major, times Aron Gates as he pitches; his 90 second business proposal, Oct. 19, 2017 during Kent State University's fifth annual Elevator Pitch Competition at the Kent State library. Gates said it was a great opportunity to practice what it takes to pitch a business proposal in as little as 90 seconds" and he was "happy he worked up the courage to participate. The event was organized by LaunchNET, a co-curricular, cross-campus program that serves students, alumni, staff and faculty to promote entrepreneurial thinking, innovative mindset, creative collaboration, and venture creation through advising and events.

Kent State senior Amanda Abood is corrected by performance teacher Tim Culver on Nov. 12, 2017 two days before her final senior recital. "This is not you at your best, I have seen your best and it is magical" said Culver. According to Amanda "after practicing so much, my voice feels and sounds tired". Culver instructed Abood, to rest her voice the day before her final performance in order for her to perform at her best.

Senior recitalist Amanda Abood and her mother Laura Abood surprise Amanda's  piano accompanist Cathy Poremba with a bouquet of flowers as thanks for her help after her performance Nov. 14, 2017. Poremba has accompanied Amanda's performances since high school. "I am proud of the beautiful and talented young lady that Amanda has become, and hope I may get another chance to accompany her in the future" said Poremba.

The Columbus Symphony Orchestra, perform, The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses at the Ohio Theater this Nov. 5, 2017."It is always fun to do concerts such as this because the crowd response we get from performing popular video games such as Zelda always impresses me" said Eimear Noone the orchestra conductor. The Ohio Theater in Columbus, was designed by an American architect Thomas W. Lamb in the 1920's and is was declared a national landmark in 1977.  It was renovated and restored throughout the 1970's which cost around 1 million by CAPA (The Columbus Association of Performing Arts) and remains a stunning piece of Ohio's History. 

Zombies take over 1st street in downtown Massillon Oct. 14 2017. Zombies Jim Thornsberry and Vicki Harwig Thornsberry took the stage 6pm, at the Massillon Public Library performing to Micheal Jacksons Thriller. Jim Thornsberry said " It was a great night for the zombies, the performance was a lot of fun and worth the hard work". After the performance Vicki Thornsberry said " What a night to be alive, or well dead".
